Job Description
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for assisting the General Manager in the guest room and public space operations of the hotel. This role is a leader within the team and an ambassador for the hotel, which entails providing strong leadership and strategic planning with all departments in support of our service culture

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Hotel experience preferred, but not required.
  • Computer skills enough to learn hotel operating system, MS office, and internet.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on the hotel’s business needs and be available to cover shifts as needed or scheduled by the General Manager.
  • Nights, Weekends, and Holidays required.
  • Be a team builder that encourages an inviting atmosphere, with a “lead by example” management style.
  • Recruit, hire and cross train individuals within the hotel to encourage a stimulating environment.
  • Be highly visible to team members and guests for engagement and proactive problem resolution.
  • Conduct day to day business with integrity, making decisions on behalf of the hotel, team, and guests.
  • Consistently monitor and manage the hotel’s appearance, with quality and attention to detail always in mind.
  • Walk the property daily. All vacant rooms, public spaces and storage areas should be inspected.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient deep clean program to optimize the guest experience.
  • Organize, conduct, and engage in team and department meetings to keep team members current with necessary information.
  • Conduct regular inventories of all supplies to guarantee ample supplies and par levels are always on hand.
  • Practice proper ordering procedures using purchase orders, budget guidelines and a checkbook for tracking.
  • Think and plan long term as it relates to the company, market, economy, and competition.
  • Be a coach, teacher and mentor that encourages growth and innovative thinking.
  • Lead and empower team members to achieve outstanding satisfaction scores and reviews.
  • Establish and uphold operational structure, consistency, employee morale and internal growth opportunities. Communicate thoroughly.
  • Hold all team members (Including yourself!) accountable by focusing on performance and measurable results. Make decisions based on your own judgment and company policy.
  • Practice fair and consistent Human Resources procedures with detailed documentation. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Ability to work with all types of people.
